What This Program Offers
You can celebrate a birthday, wedding anniversary, memorial day, or special occasion by sponsoring meals for children with disabilities. With an endowment in your name, meals are provided on the chosen day every year for 25 consecutive years.
Meal for a Day (MFAD) options
- $2,500 CDN – Feed 300 children annually for 25 years
- $600 CDN – Feed 75 children annually for 25 years
- $250 CDN – Feed 30 children annually for 25 years
Campus Feeding options

For families raising a child with a disability, the financial burden can be overwhelming. Many essential services—such as specialized therapy, assistive devices, and home modifications—are not fully covered by provincial health plans, government programs, or private insurance. Without support, children risk missing timely interventions that are critical to mobility, independence, and quality of life.
About the Program
Handi-Care Intl. launched this initiative to support children with disabilities and their families across Canada by helping cover rehabilitation-related expenses. This includes children with cerebral palsy (CP)—a non-degenerative neurological condition affecting approximately 1 in every 500 babies in Canada—as well as children with other physical and developmental disabilities.
What This Program Supports
Funding assistance for rehabilitation-related costs not covered by insurance or government programs, including:
- Therapy services (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy)
- Assistive technology and mobility devices
- Accessible home renovations to support daily living
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to families across Canada requiring support for eligible services
- Funding applies only to uncovered expenses
- A reference letter from a therapist or physician is required
- All applications are reviewed and approved by the HCI Board
